Biography

My name is Johan, and I'm a HAM since may 2014.

I got interested in CB radio arround 1986. After I married stopt using transmitters.

Since 2012 my collegue made me enthousiast about CB again and convinced me to get a license.

Now I have my license.

Most of the time you can find me on 10m within the DX windows and on local CB radio.

At home I use a Yaesu FT-897D with a J-pole antenna from HPSD.NL for 10 and 11meters and a GB wireantenna for 10,20,40 meters as wel as a diamond X50 for 70cm and 2M

I my car I use a Yaesu FT-857D with the Yaesu Atas-120a. For portable usage I have a Baofeng UV-5R and Yaesu VX-7R for 2m en 70cm

For field usage I own a Yaesu FT-857D in a GO-KIT with bateries installed, a High End Fed triple band antenna, and a Yaesu FT-817ND with additional AT-20 and AT-40 telescopic antennas and 2 battery packs.

I'm a memeber of DARES (Dutch Amateur Radio Emergency Service)
