Biography

Update 23-08-2011: Worked as EA3/PA3FAT 8-juli upto 9-aug 2012. Conditions on 20m not that great. Highlight was a qso with ZL2JBR (John), with 5 watts in inverted 5 dipole fed wih twinlead. Thanks to John to make the QSO with me. Largest DX with QRP ever. Highlight of the holiday so to say.
Battery powered portable using Lipo batteries 3S 11V 2200-2800mAh

Update 29-oct-2011: Conditions improving. Unfortunatly missed T32C as my north bound direction is blocked by a high appartment complex.
Some typo's corrected. Added the Heil Elite to the collection. Build some end fedz antenna's during the summer. Check PA3EKE's website for details. Look closely and the rebuild should be feasible. For info drop me an email.

Update 20-sep-2008: TA4/PA3FAT was active from Turgutreis Turkey in the period 03-sep-008 upto 16-sep-2008. Pictures can be found at pa3fat.hyves.nl look in foto's section.

Update 24-aug-2010: EA3/PA3FAT was active from Tremp (Lerida) in the period 23-jul-2010 up to 17-aug-2010.
Working initially qrp with FT-817 with 5 W and an dipole 2x10m fed by twinlead at 10m above the ground. Tuned with mfj-969 tuner. Later switched to FT-857 to step up to 100W.

The current picture shows the working conditions during the summer of 2006 (july-august 2006). Pictures taken at my family in law summerhouse location Selimpasa - Istanbul. Working South Afrika and other African countries using an Yaesu FT817 and a homebrew ATX-1080 (design by PA0FBK)

Best DX with the vertical at 4 meters ASL. On top of the appartement (20+ meters higher and with dipole), only europe stationsand too much sun as there is no shade there.

Battery a gel accu 12V/7AH my brother in law bought in Istanbul.
