Biography

My name is Ed Schenk.

The hobby was introduced to me by my late father Piet PA0TR
I've been licensed since the 80's.
I started as a listening amateur NL4864
After this I applied for the D license (beginners). PD0ECV
At that time you were only allowed to use little power and 6 channels in the 2 meter band.
You were also not allowed to send home-made equipment, only with commercial equipment.
Finally after a few years I applied for the C license. PE1PGP.
After this, I took the Morse code course in Kagerland together with a friend.
Successfully completed this 8WPM and received the call PB0AOC.
This allowed us to transmit on the KG on various frequencies
This license has now been converted to a Full License.
And I changed the call to PA1TR.
I'm not very active at the moment.
A bit with FT8 and on the local frequencies on 70Cm
I am mainly concerned with DIY and other electronics crafts.

Equipment

Alinco DX70
Alico-DR-605
UbitX V6
