| Biography I was always interested in Radio. It started in the early '50-ties; I was fascinated by the green shining "EM 80 Magic-eye" of my parents Telefunken Radio. Later on in the early '60-ies I build my first receiver the Philips PIONIER I (crystal diode) receiver. Between 1964 and 1968 I became a Broadcasting-DX-er (BDXC-336), specialized on the Tropical-, Medium wave band and North Sea Off Shore Pirate Radio Stations. I have a lot of QSL cards from them. I also recorded these pirate transmissions on tape. From a historical point of view I transferred these tape recordings to the Dutch Radio Archives in Hilversum, the Netherlands. Worked DXCCs: Equipment My Radio equipment: COLLINS 51J4, SEMCOSET, FDK Multi Palmsizer II, Yaesu FT-897D & AT897. I am QRV on HF and the VHF / UHF bands: 50, 144, 432 MHz. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
