Biography

OZ8PER is my main call.

.... also known as OZ1OZN, commemorating my happy years in early and mid 1970´s doing maritime coastal radio and air/ground communication with Norh Atlantic air traffic at Prins Christian Sund Radio, Greenland, CW call OZN. This remote station was located not far from Cape Farewell. Those were the days!

Later I had five fine years serving domestic and international air traffic from air/ground station Sondrestrom Radio, c/s XPJ, a facility of the airport located due north of the Arctic Circle at bottom of a 170 km long and narrow inlet, Soendre Stroemfjord, trending from west coast of Greenland to edge of the ice cap.

At present (since 1982) my QTH is small town Hasle at west coast of Bornholm Island, IOTA EU-030 in the Baltic Sea. I spent a span of 26 years as a civil servant, official in Bornholm Airport. Now I have retired, presumably with main parts of my mind intact...?

That´s it, folks. Thank you for watching, looking forward to meeting you on CW.

Equipment

Rig is a Kenwood TS-850S/at together with an indoor Diamond BB6W end fed multiband wire antenna or one of two indoor coax dipoles.

Please note that I´ll be QRV on CW only. Furthermore I have a deep-seated dislike of FT8 blocking HF-bands!
