Biography
Hello,
I am ON4GED, my name is Gunther and i am born in 1954.
I started Ham-radio in 1985 as ON1BYN, and worked only on VHF.
Many long years i was as good as inactive on Ham-radio, except of some /M or /P on holiday.
Now, in 2018 i restart with Ham-radio and switched over to my new call ON4GED.
At the same time i am switching over from VHF/UHF to the HF-bands were i am a newbie.
After al these years of inactivity i have many things to learn again.
Now (beginning in 2020) i am trying out how it al works on HF and have to find out my way on these bands.
My QTH is Waarloos in Belgium 14 km south of Antwerp, on 26m ASL.
My job was field technician for the Belgian national telecom company (Belgacom), speciality PABX and local network cabling.
Since 2014 i am retired and happy.
My hobby's are Ham-radio and photography. I also like to travel in the nature of Germany. My most favorite destinations are Kassel and Cuxhaven were in both i have some family who i like to meet at least once a year. Since 2008 i discovered the Lüneburger Heide and returned there every year in Schneverdingen.
