Eric ON3EE, Leon ON4VLM, Joris ON3JL, Walter ON5WAL, Rene ON3VS, Niels ON3NE and guest operator Swa ON5SWA are going to commemorate the building and construction of the german military airfield and training school for pilots 100 years ago at As. The first airplane took off from here for its first war mission on the 26th of may 1917 .
The BIPT granted the members of this team a license with the special callsign "ON1418GMA". GMA stands for German Military Airfield. The special event station will be on the air on saturday the 27th of May 2017 from 8:00 o'clock local time in the morning till.... First on 80m and later on 40m and 20m.
