Biography

Hi,
welcome to my profile.

My name is Petr (EN/GER: Peter), I've been licensed for a very short time, since September 2021.

Apart from amateur radio, my lifelong hobby is designing electronic devices and programming. Lately, I have been involved mostly with the LoRaWAN communication platform. I am also interested in 3D printing.

Currently I am using a ICOM IC-7300 and YAESU FT-857 transceiver with a dipole for 80 meters band and end-fed antenna for 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters bands. For the 2 meter and 70 cm bands I use a Diamond X-200 antenna. For VHF contests I use a portable homemade 7 el. Yagi designed by DK7ZB on a homemade mast 9 meters tall and a 4th El Yagi for FM operation.

For my TRX I made a data/audio CAT adapter, Automatic Caller, Power supply and other accessories.

I prefer real conversation, and since I haven't managed to learn CW telegraphy yet, you'll find me mostly on the SSB segments of the HF bands. I also occasionally try FT8 and FT4 operation.

I regularly upload my logs to:

eQSL.cc
ClubLog.org
HamQTH.com
QRZcq.com

QSL via BUREAU or DIRECT.

I look forward to having a QSO with you!
