Biography

Hi,
welcome to my QRZCQ profile.

My name is Matěj (IPA: [ˈmacɛj], EN: Matthew, GER: Matthias), I've been licensed for a very short time, since September 2021.
Apart from amateur radio, I am an enthusiast for regulation-compliant PMR446 (my max QRB: 198 km) and CB, and I regularly participate in contests and other events on these two unlicensed bands with a thriving community in my country. My call sign for these two bands is Matej Brno.

I'm not a fan of digimodes, as I prefer real conversation, and since I haven't managed to learn CW telegraphy yet, you'll find me mostly on the SSB segments of the HF bands. And sometimes on the 6m band, PMR446 or CB.
I'm also a big fan of QRP, especially for field operations. I enjoy trying to achieve as much as possible with the least amount of resources.

I regularly upload my logs to:
QRZ.com
eQSL.cc
ClubLog.org

I have an eQSL, unfortunately I haven't prepared a paper QSL card yet. I am working on it!

I look forward to have a QSO with you!
