Biography
Hi, and thanks for looking me up!
I took up amateur radio in the club radio station OK1KCI when I was at school. Many thanks to OK1DDP (since 29.6.2010 Silent key - I will remember forever) and OK1DXF for leading me during my activity in the radio club. I got licensed in 1994 and started as OK1FQZ in 1995.
I went QRT in 2000, QRV became again in August 2009 as OK2FQZ after moving to the new QTH - Slapanice. It is a smaller city near Brno, which is the second biggest town in the Czech Republic. This area is very known by "The Battle of Austerlitz" in 1805. Apart from this battle provided inspiration for the staging of commemorative events on the former battlefield. I live near "Zuran Hill" - Napoleon's command post at the beginning of the battle.
Thanks for QSO and good DX!
73, Josef.
