Biography

The world of radio opened to me at about 10 years old after reading the book Šolim Já a transistory. According to this book, I built a crystal and listened to the local medium wave transmitter. It absorbed me so much that I graduated from university in the field of radio transmitters and receivers. I made my first amateur radio connection in the Strakonice radio club /OK1KCS/ under the leadership of Laďislav Dušek /OK1FDL/ then I got my own OK1FGL license after moving to Slovakia, this brand was changed to OK3FGL and I worked at the club station in Stará Turá. After moving to my native Moravia, I have the OK2FGL.
What do I like and what do I miss? CW and SSB, interesting people and stations, I listen more than broadcast. I miss the technical debates on Mr. Šperlín's band, and his presentation of the Smith diagram should be a mandatory part of the electrical curriculum.
