Biography

I started on bands in late 80's as young guy together with friends in OK1KQP club station. But soon I took a long break - university, family, work career... In 2021 Vráťa OK1MGX(sk) my RF basics teacher and Luboš OK1ANG(sk) our HF guru left us. The undying love for hunting DX, the current possibilities for building antennas and a sad situation with my respected colleagues kicked me back to the bands in 2021.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Yaesu FT DX 1200, Spiderbeam 5-band Yagi
Windom-like antenna for 160 - 80 - 40 ... too low for DX
different verticals and home made antennas under test

Coming soon (summer 2023)
Four-Square for 40 m band, Vertical for 80 m band

Not more than 100W output power (for ever)

Until February 2022 I used a horizontal Delta Loop 3x27m on 10m - quiet, omnidirectional, lots of nice QSOs. Ineffective at 15m and above. Maybe not that effective at all.
