Biography

Licensed ham operator since 1996. Developer of utility software for the AX.25 protocol and author of modest tools for various digital modes, especially for APRS.

My preferred modes of operation are CW, with a straight key, not a paddle, and various digital modes. I’m particularly interested in digital modes, as I develop software for them — primarily for macOS and GNU/Linux platforms. I’m friendly toward all forms of amateur radio operation and do not dismiss any of them.

Currently operating exclusively QRP from portable locations, specializing in DX hunting with minimal power through modes that make it possible.
