Biography

Retired designer of large power transformers, BsC in electrical engineering. Got my novice license in 1969, upgraded to Finnish general class Y in 1970. Been active on and off for all these years. Was very active on 2m in the late seventies and early eighties. Now sporadically active on 180 to 6 m. using a very minimalistic gear.

Equipment

Icom IC-706MKII barefoot 100W
end fed LW-antenna 78.5 m long, laid out horisontally in the shape of a "U", running around the perimeter of my lot from one end of my house to the other and at a mean height of approx 7m. End fed using a 1:36 broadband matching transformer of my own design.
