Biography

Radio operator from Lappeenranta -city, in KP41DB. Most time active on digimodes and CW. I like working qrp from my home station in Lappeenranta (MUSTOLA) and sometimes from my mobile. FT-818 (5 Watts) and R8- and CP610 vertical with T2FD-dipole are good weapons for dx-hunting on qrp.

My latest purchase are Kenwood TS-480SAT and TM-D710G for my home station in Lappeenranta. I also upgraded my old FT-817 for FT-818 - for my QRP operations.

My main station is at Enonkoski, KP42JE, just 40 km north of Savonlinna -city: in the middle of nothing. There is a lot of free space for setting up antennas and towers. At the moment I have there 30 meters tower with KT-34XA beam for HF and smaller antennas for VHF/UHF-bands. An other tower with satellite gear is QRV now too.

Other antennas are multiband T2FD dipole / G5RV for 80/40 mtrs and WiMo-3W vertical for WARC-bands and R-8 vertical for HF. On VHF I am mainly active on APRS-network. The rigs in use there are Kenwood TM-D700 and Yaesu FT5D for VHF/UHF and Kenwood TS-480SAT for HF / FT-847 for HF/ 6-meters and VHF/UHF bands including "birds" with "OscarPack by HighGain" or 6/10 m -vertical.

My QSL-policy: cards are available via buro or direct if needed. I like using eQSL -service and LoTW, so all eQSL and directs are very wellcome as well as SWL-cards. When working at Enonkoski (KP42JE), I shall update my records on LoTW/eQSL as soon as I am back home.

Time to time I spend time with contests, but most time I like working with everyone who are active on my "waterfall" - special interest in Emcom -activity and new VARA-mode.

My EPC#2514 FL01; OMC#103 DMC# 743, Feld Hell -club FH 1700 and 30MDG#0671 (club activity) My home club is OH5AB, (OH5B) here in Lappeenranta.

My nick on bands is simply ARI. 73 CU!
