Biography

Hello and welcome to my QTH – JN88FD | Vienna | Austria.

My name is Lorenz, born in 1988, and technology has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since high school, I’ve been working in the electronics industry, gaining hands-on experience as an electronics designer, developer, and PCB designer.

In 2016, I transitioned into the world of digital, analog and HF semiconductors, where I’ve been working ever since. My professional focus includes analog circuit design, EMC debugging, and solving RF issues on PCB level, generally with a strong interest in practical, hardware-oriented solutions.

My other hobbies are mainly technical interests: IP networking, Linux wherever possible, virtualization, and electronics in general.
Other than that, I enjoy cooking, sport shooting (IPSC), and building coffee machines (portafilter only – Faema E61), as well as spending time with friends and family.

I obtained my CEPT Class 1 license in February 2026 and am now actively exploring the world of amateur radio, with a special interest in HF operation and propagation.
