Biography

My first license was issued in 1979 as KA8GQM, then in 1983 as an Advanced with the call of KC8NT, then in 1985 as a 20WPM Extra class as NN8B the call I currently hold.

I favor CW and Digital modes, seldom on SSB. My mic is around here somewhere hi hi.

I have collected numerous J.H. Bunnell keys and many Vibroplex and other brands of bugs.

Am a member of SKCC (36T) and LICW and QCWA.
You can learn CW by joining LICW they are a great group to be part of.

73, Don, NN8B

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Primary rig is a Yaesu FTDX10, backup is an FT-897D. I have many Ten Tec rigs, kind of a collection. TT Century 21, my Novice rig, TT Argosy, my first SSB rig, TT Argosy II digital, TT Omni VI, TT Model 540 as a complete station, all accessories that were available for the 540.

Lots of HT's as most of hams seem to accumulate, mostly Yaesu.
Yaesu FTM-400XD, FTM-100D (2), FT2D, and FT70 HT'S.

TD90 folded terminated dipole, Eantenna delta loop, homebrew sawtooth dipole. Homebrew 6M 5 element beam. 2 Diamond VHF/UHF verticals.
