Biography
Greetings from North Carolina. I am located about 20 miles north of Charlotte right next to Mooresville, also known as Race City for you Nascar Fans. This is also known as the Lake Norman area. Many things to see and do. I have been a ham operator since 2005.
The station here is a Kenwood TS-590S. Microphone is the Radio Shack Super-Cardioid 33.128. The radio is pushing a Ameritron AL-811 at 500 to 600 watts. The antenna tuner is a LDG AT-1000PROII with the M-1000 Meter. The antenna is the Hy-Gain AV-640, which is used for 6,10,12,15,17,20,30 and 40 Meters. It is mounted about about 15 feet from the ground. I also use a Inverted-L Antenna for 60, 80 and 160 meters. It is mounted in a vertical configuration.
If by chance you contact me in my mobile, I have a Yaesu Ft-747GX with a LDG Z-11 Pro II tuner into a Alpha MOTO SR antenna.
I enjoy all the HF bands and I like try different antennas. I like to rag chew with operators. Contacts are fine, but take time to enjoy the hobby.
I will be glad to QSL the old fashion way. You send me one and I will send you one. No "SASE" required.
73's and all the best!
