Biography

Greetings! I was first licensed as a Novice in 1979 and operated using CW at 5 wpm. In 1981, I upgraded to General Class and was proficient at 13 wpm CW although I have operated primarily SSB since then. Most of my time now is spent operating SSB or FT8, however, I’m slowly getting back to CW. I enjoy making Parks On The Air contacts using SSB, FT8 and CW. I have been involved in Field Day activities with my local Amateur Radio Club and have also participated as an operator on the USS-Alabama, BB-60, during Museum Ships On The Air weekend. Other than HF, I also operate on the 2m and 70cm bands. I try to get on the air as much as possible.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Yaesu FT-710 transceiver using a PAR 80-10 EFHW antenna.
Yaesu FTM-150 2m/70cm transceiver for home and mobile.
