I am one of the three Westernmost Active Extra Class Hams in the lower 48 contiguous states of America. 

SWL for more than fifty years. Lic. Ham for over forty years. Former U.S. Coast Guard Radioman RM2 (E-5) at USCG Commsta San Francisco. (NMC) 1978-1982. Was the NMC QSL manager. Plank owner crew member for the NMC Ham Radio Station about 1979-1981.

Worked in the San Francisco Bay Area for nineteen years at high tech companies including NASA Ames Research Center as a contract employee for five years in the late 1980s.

Former calls were KA6GTR 1980-1988. Novice Class. KC6YLB 1989-1999. N7GAP 1999-12/16/2020 General Class. 12/17/2020-Present Extra Class! 6/02/2021-Present New Callsign N7NMC. To celebrate my ham and professional Radio started in 1980 at USCG Commsta San Francisco (NMC).

Icom IC-7610 and Icom IC-7300.

October 2021 Typical Winter storm 72mph gusts. All antennas came down. Off air for seven months.

May 10, 2022. ICOM 7610 back from service. Running Ciro Mazzoni Baby Loop 40m-10m indoors until weather gets better for installation. Rated for surviving 100mph wind gusts. 

Future projects for 2022:

1. Install a hidden 80m DDRR style about six feet off the ground.

2. PAR Electronics Stressed Moxon 6 meters antenna SM50 in setup indoors right now!
