Biography

My name is Nathan and I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a retired (medically) police officer and spent 14 years in Law Enforcement here in Arizona prior to my retirement. I currently work for a non-profit who works with the 22 Native American Tribes in Arizona as the Public Safety Director and Emergency Management Coordinator. I am a single father to two boys ages 13 and 8, who take up a majority of my time. I hold a bachelors degree in Emergency Management and a Master's Degree in Leadership/Disaster Preparedness.

I was originally licensed under the call sign N9ZLL when I was 14 years old as a Tech+. In 2013 I upgraded to General in 2014 and spend most of my time on the digital modes of JT65 and JT9 on HF, however there are day where you will find me perusing the SSB voice side as well.

I am certified as a Type III Public Information Officer, and serve as the National President of the National Tribal Amateur Radio Association (NTARA).

I look forward to working you or talking to you on one of the bands in the future.

73,
Nathan, N7NAN
