Biography

1st licensed 1957 as KN0IPI in Sioux City, IA. Moved to California and received WB6JSZ, then W6ROL. Current call is N6KD. Operated from Vietnam, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curacao, US Virgin Islands and Canada. US Army Vietnam 1st Cav 1965; Fire Direction Controller in a Mortar Platoon and later awards and decorations writer for the 2nd Batallation of the 7th Cav.

Worked for HP for 8 years, then ran several small businesses and retired in 2001. Current equipment K3, Alpha 89A, 11 el log (6-20 meter) periodic, all band vertical and rotatable dipole at 70 feet plus several Vs. Current confirmed DXCC total 346. Need two to finish off top of the Honor Role (YK and FR/G). Location on top of the Jackson Buttes - about 2000 feet elevation with good drop offs in all directions except South.

Mostly active on 10-40 CW and SSB.

Planned activities - get my 40 meter beam and KLM KT36XA back up - will have a better signal then...
