Biography

I have been listening to shortwave and scanners since the late 1970's, been on 11 meters from 1975 to 2005. On May 31, 2008 I took the Technician test and passed with flying colors! One year later on June 11, 2009 I took the General test and passed that to! I am a member of the Cleveland County Amateur Radio Service (CCARS).

I am also a member of ARES/RACES of Cleveland County, Cleveland County Skywarn, and The Blue Ridge Weather Watch.

I can be found on the local repeaters 146.880, 147.045, 145.450, 147.440, and 146.520 simplex all the time. I'm also very active on Echolink (Node # 396255), and CQ100. On CQ100 I monitor 14.200mhz 24/7. On HF I can be found on 40m around 7.185 to 7.200mhz, on 20m around 14.260 to 14.290mhz, on 15m from 21.275 to 21.310mhz.and 10m 28.300 to 28.600mhz.
