Biography

First licensed in 1975 as WN2ESA. Subsequently WB2ESA. Not many rigs over the years. Started with an Ameco AC-1 transmitter and BC-348 receiver. Soon after, I was excited to put the crystals in a drawer and add a Heathkit VFO. Later upgraded to Viking Adventurer, then B&W 5100B and a National NC-300. I went with a Kenwood TS-820S sometime in the 80's. I still own all of those rigs, except for the AC-1 (darn it!).

My main interest is in working DX. I am a member and past vice-president of the Western New York DX Association. Favorite modes are SSB, CW, and recently FT8. I also enjoy working contests.

Equipment

Icom IC-751a, Mercury IIIs, Tennadyne T6 log periodic antenna on barn roof tower (about 40'), 80m wire half square antenna, 40m dipole, G5RV, Millen transmatch, and other misc doo-dads.
