Biography

Hello all, my name is Joe and I am 48 years old married and live in the Central part of New Jersey.I became interested in communations back in the mid 70s. My uncle Duane was confined to a wheel chair because of muscular dystrophyas and he was very active on the CB radio and SSB dxing. I remember him talking on the radio all over the world on 11 meter and that got me interested.I would go to his house in NJ during lunch and after school and would DX all day. These were great memories of my childhood and my uncle. Everytime I make a new contact I thank my Uncle Duane for this great hobby he introduced me to. I did the 11 meter thing through the 80s and 90s and got licensed in 1994 with the call sign KC2CEP and now I am N2CEP. I am looking to upgrade my license soon to take advantage of the up coming Solar Cycle 24.I am married for 16 years to my wife Laura and have one son, Joseph that is 12 years old. I work a Sergent in the New Jersey State Police and have been enlisted for the past 24 years. I do QSL direct or EQSL. Best 73s from Joe N2CEP.
