Biography

I have been licensed since 1995. I upgraded to General in 2017. I am medically retired after 40 years as a Law Enforcement Officer. (Thank-you MS). My interest in radio goes back to my early years when my Dad had a commercial Two-Way radio for his trucking business and then he purchase one of the first Regency crystal scanners to listen the local and state public safety.

I played with CB and in the early 80's I purchased my first SW receiver (Yaesu FRG-7). Once licensed I fond the joy of 6 meter FM.

Icom IC 7300 , Comet HF vertical, Yaesu FT-100 with MFJ Versa Tuner II and an end feed long wire. I have an Icom IC-2000 an Azden PCS-7500H for 6 meters and a Radio Shack HTX 10 for 10 meters.
