Biography

Grew up Southern Illinois. Meant to go to seminary but instead Joined US Army in 1975, married 1979.Was an avid CBer. Hung around Army Mars stations until Ft Riley Ks where a met my Elmer n0dvg. First license 1993. Stayed Tech class until well after Army retirement in 1995. In 2010 or so When met Jim w9jug,went through General class classes and passed my General class on the 2nd try.
Am now a widower since 2007. Worked in the cancer research field until became 100% disabled by the VA. Now called to serve God, am an Ordained minister through Grace Baptist Church in Urbana Illinois. When I'm on my feet, I'm a volunteer outreach pastor, Visit or call those not able to unable to get to church or in hospital.

Kenwood Ts2000 with 811 hf amplifier, Yaesu 706, a couple uhf/vhf mobile for house and mobile. A couple handhelds. G5rv, Gap Challenger antenna for home, uhf/vhf vertical. Diamond dual band and High Sierra Sidekick antenna for truck.
