Biography

After many years on CB Radio i decided to get into Ham Radio.
In 2008 I passed my foundation licence giving me the first rung on the ladder to becoming a full ham radio operator.
Due to work and family commitments i was unable to take my hobby any further at the time and ended up taking over 10 years away from my hobby.
I recently this year came back on the air and having purchased a few radios and antennas i got back on the air.
My intention is to progress to the next level and then onto the full licence here in the UK.

I live with my partner and her youngest child
We are now resident in Maesteg, South Wales, UK.

After many years of driving coaches touring over the UK and Europe I decided to have a career change in (2017). I went and passed my HGV licence so now im working as a HGV driver travelling around the UK supplying shops and warehouses with the commodities that people require to help them live.

Im looking forward to meeting new friends "on the air" and hopefully i can contact a few of you from here.
73s to everyone whos passed by.

Paul

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Main Radio now is the Yaesu ftdx 101MP with a home brew vertical similar to the DX Commander.
Ive also a Yaesu FT1802 for 2mtr/70cms running via a tri band antenna mainly for repeater working.
In my collection but not used much is a Yaesu FT840 and like most people over here ive a Baofeng hand held covering 2mtrs/70cms which i take with me in the truck periodically.

Ive still got a fair few CB Radios/Linears and antennas laying around but none are in use at the moment.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
