Biography

My name is Summer, I was 12 years old when i passed my foundation exam on the 13/4/13 at my first attempt. I am 15 years old, the YLT stands for "Young Lady Transmitting".

The first lady amateur in the UK had YL at the end of her callsign.

Building up my operating skills at present, I love ssb contests!

I get a nose bleed if I go any higher than 14 MHz

When I was first licensed I worked a major pileup on 40m, at the very end of the pileup the editor of practical wireless magazine (Rob Manion) came in and could'nt get over that I was only 12 years old he wrote 3/4 of a page on me commenting on my great operating technique a fact that I am very proud of but I am still learning though I appeared again in practical wireless with my sister Grace 2i0gyl when we both passed are intermediate exams.

Equipment

The equipment here is a simple setup using a Yaesu FT-920
100 watts of rf power and one Kilowatt of a beautiful young female voice, which is the main part of my station, really love beating the big gun stations with this HIHi
