Biography

Hello and thanks for checking out my page....I'm a SWL and radio enthusiast in West Yorkshire UK.

Equipment

RADIO EQUIPMENT:-

ELAD FDM Duo R - with SW2 software

XIEGU G90 - QRP Transceiver - 8/11/19:- broken and on way to China for repair.

ALINCO DX R8E Superhet old school receiver - big knob and buttons to press

SDR Dongle - for vhf and uhf but I have got to be pretty bored to switch that on.

ANTENNAE:-

MLA 30 Active loop from CHINA - this is the best rx antenna in the world for 40 quid - unbelievable performer. Currently attic mounted.

CROSS COUNTRY WIRELESS HF ACTIVE ANTENNA - outdoor vertically mounted (east to
west) at 30 feet. Particularly useful on 160/80 and 40 but a decent all rounder on
HF.

10/11 Mtr full size Delta loop - attic mounted.

20 METRE FULL SIZE LOOP - attic mounted. Horizontally polarised. 4:1 balUn added
23.2.19.

20 METRE BAND GROUND MOUNTED VERTICAL - ground mounted with 1:9 UnUn, 4 random counterpoise radials and earthed. Home made. Great antenna for 20 and 17. A surprisingly nice homebrew result.

2/70 J POLE BY SUPERYAGI UK - attic mounted. Does the business on 2/70 if I'm bored.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands. Click here and find out more about the project and how you can endorse it.
