Beginner, passed UK Foundation level in September. Doing this cos I want to dress up in a cashmere twin set and string of pearls, sit at an antique bureau and CQ on my Xiegu G90 using my best RP British accent. In short, daydream I work at Bletchley Park and it's 1943.

In reality this ham stuff is a bit of a sham. I want to chew rags or is it rag chews with Russians and teamS of explorers in the snowy Arctic. But the folks I'm meeting on the airwaves want to play Top Trumps, swapping info about power wattage, antenna types, location, and engine size.
