Biography

I became interested in amateur radio during the Covid lockdown and have continued since then. I'm interested in HamSats and low power, minimal rigs. My plan for the future is to learn CW and build more kits.... As a STEM Ambassador on the UK government's scheme I've also started a local radio meeting Westgate Radio Experimenters Group that meets monthly at Tom Paine's Chapel in Lewes.

Equipment

I'm very limited in terms of antennas and space as I live in a flat with a balcony. I use Slim Jim ladder style antennas for 2m reception/transmission via the local repeater and HubNet GB3EB. I am planning to do more minimal rig QRP and CW work using SotaBeams Bandspringer end fed QRP antenna, a 20m EFHW from UKAntennas and also put together a transceiver kit from QRPLabs. My main aim is to learn CW.
