Biography

Hello & thanks for stopping by. I am a low power / QRP station transmitting at an average of 9 watts from a ground floor flat in the south coast of England. I am restricted for antenna installations, so I have mine hanging off one of my windows about 2 metres from the ground. I mostly do FT8 as it is the best chance for my transmissions to be heard. If you receive me, then you have done extremely well because of my low transmitting power & lack of height for my antenna. And if you QSO me, then even better. Good DX to all & hope to communicate with you over the airwaves.

My other callsigns:

M7EIW/A - transmitting at a fourth floor height about 20 miles away from home with my MFJ-1621 & third party telescopic antenna about 4 metres high. You will receive me best when I am using this callsign.

M7EIW/M - if I go mobile it will be this callsign. I have still to decide a good mobile location.

Licence type: I am a Foundation Licence holder which I obtained in March 2023. I can only transmit upto a maximum of 10 watts.

Equipment

Transceivers: Xiegu G90, Xiegu X6100
Antennas: Magnetic QRP antenna, MFJ-1621 (with a stock telescopic antenna or third party that can go upto 5 metres in height)
