Biography

Hi,

My name is John and I am from the United Kingdom.

I have been into radio for as long as I can remember. As a young boy, I used to tune around on my father's shortwave radio set listening to the broadcasting stations from around the world.

As an early teenager, CB radio allowed an insight into the radio hobby, with stations from all over the world being heard due to the fantastic propogation at the time.

I have three main hobbies: Radio, Astronomy and Meteorology. Finding time for these can be difficult as I run a business with my wife and we have a large family, consisting of 11 grandchildren also, so spare time is hard to find!

This year I decided it was time to take the Foundation exam, so that I could at least get my foot in the door properly. I can now properly set up my equipment and software to use with my hobbies.
