Biography

Hi.
My name is Liz . Many thanks for looking up my call.

I live in a small village in n/w England called Frizington, along with my partner Colin (M0XSD). The village, on the A5086, lays just outside of Cockermouth and Whitehaven on the West Cumbrian coast.

My interests in radio include SOTA (http://www.sota.org.uk) and WOTA (Wainwrights On The Air - http://www.wota.org.uk ), having only very recently gained my Foundation Licence in August 2011.

My current equipment is an Icom IC-E90 quad band handheld for portable work running into a dual band ladder line j-pole for 70cms/2m FM and a homebrew 4m ladder line aerial, running 70cms FM, 2m FM and 4M FM out on the Fells. I don't yet have an aerial for 6m FM.

At my home QTH I also now use an Icom 706 Mk II (running QRP at 10 Watts), end fed wire and ATU so learning a whole new area of radio on the HF bands.

I also share my partner's radio equipment which includes an Icom IC-2720, Kenwood Trio, Yagi Dual Band Antenna and Vertical Dual Band Antenna.

Away from radio my other interests are fell walking, photography, music, horses and enjoying everything that the Lake District has to offer, having only moved to the area in September 2005.

Hope to catch you soon on the radio.
