M5JPG (M#5JPG)


I mainly operate mobile or portable, to get away from the noisy and cramped home QTH. Learnt about radios from a young lad, initially doing the Air Cadet qualifications at 13, then spending a few years in the Royal Signals. My Amateur history started in 2018, becoming M6WUM in September '18, 2E0YMM in December '18, and passing the full in July '19 becoming M5JPG. I have a science and engineering background, working as a metallurgist in the Magnesium industry, focusing on projects for niche aerospace, automotive and Oil&Gas applications.



I am interested in all aspects of the hobby, and so I dabble in electronics, attenna designing and building, working all modes and most bands, and doing "mini DXpeditions".
