Hi all, Ive been into radio of one kind or another since I could walk!! or even before! From old `cats whisker` sets to the beasties of today though my preference is anything with valves in it!! ( If it doesn't glow in the dark its not a radio!!!!)saves a fortune on shack heating too. I like datamodes as well as `ragchewing` and a bit of SSTV, I`m well into expeditions to the middle of nowhere ( or I used to be till my health changed and am an active member of my local radio club, STARS, where I teach prospective new hams! Im also a member of RSARS though I cant get on the nets much these days!

Equipment

Equipment running at the moment in my shack is a complete FT101zd line up inc 101 sep receiver, etc, a full KW electronics lineup with a kw2000e as transmitter and as a `nod to modern gear` an FT2000d. Antennas include a 360 endfed wire , magnetic loop, chelcom hf vertical and a G5rv all mounted over a Marconi mat under the garden. A `white stick for my 2mtr gateway and normal 2, 70 and 6 is also mounted up high on a wind up mast and fixed mounting
