Biography

Returning to radio after a 9 year break in 2016, I enjoy all modes on all bands my antennas currently include 6/2/70 vertical for local work + End Fed Longwire with a 9-1 Unun rated to 800w and improvments will be made over time, And my goto antennas the DX Commander 1/4 wave verticle and an HWEF 40 with an 80m trap on the end. My Radios Range from high end HF to small Handies for use with mobile and base stations. now i just need to sort the shack out and tidy it up :P

Equipment

ICOM IC-746
YEASU FT 1000MP MkV
YAESU FT 100D with FC-20 ATU
ICOM IC-207, YAESU FT9800R, AnyTone AT-778UV and Others
Kenwood THG71-E Handie, YAESU FT 2D (Fusion Handie) And a few other cheaper models :)

DMR is another investment with a hotspot built on a respberry pi and I also build Micro Nodes for the Allstar system for local users at cost making no proffit to allow them other options on the air as cheaply as possible and I have just started running FT8 along with a little hoccus poccus on the FT 1000MP settings to get FT8 working on the packet port and via the Icom also.

look forward to meeting you on the air

all the best 73 De M1CNX
