Biography

(Previously M6JSY and 2E0HEE)

I operate an FT-991A from restricted conditions, a simple dipole for 20/17/15m and a Buddistick vertical. In view of these challenging conditions I have most success using digimodes when at home; FT8 in particular, as well as RTTY, JS8Call and of course PSK. Now that the sunspot cycle is ramping up, I'm getting some SSB contacts in the log as well.

I also like operating portable from the top of a local hill where I am free from QRM, mainly on 20m SSB/digimodes, and 2m FM.

I have an FT-3D and enjoy using YSF/C4FM on local repeaters and through my MMDVM hotspot.

I've got a soft spot for all things Motorola and enjoy playing around with their stuff; as you can see from my equipment list I have a variety of FM, P25 and DMR equipment from them.
