Biography

LZ2KTS is the amateur radio club of Troyan, a small town located in Northern Bulgaria at the foot of Stara planina mountain.
It was established in 1959 and provides a focal point for the amateur radio community in the area.
The club has long-standing traditions in HF contesting activity - 3-time world champion on CQ WPX contest (1985, 1986 and 1990) and 19-time European champion in either CQ WW DX or CQ WPX (1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990).
