Biography
Hi everybody.
I am grateful in advance to everyone who visits my humble biography page.
I was born in 1946. I am a radio electronics engineer by education.
After graduation, I worked for 15 years at a research institute and was engaged in the development of measuring equipment in the field of super high frequencies, centimeter and millimeter waves.
For the next 13 years I was engaged in powerful television transmitters, and for the last 16 years I have been engaged in diagnostics of nuclear reactors. Currently retired.
In addition to the main hobby of amateur radio, I really like to travel.
During the Soviet era, I traveled all over the country - from the Carpathians to Kamchatka and from the polar Urals to the Altai.
And over the past 30 years, I have visited many countries of the world, the most distant of which are Japan to the east and Washington State to the west.
My distant and near relatives live in Lithuania, Russia, Sweden, Germany and the USA.
My first license since 1980.
Since 2015, I have been actively working on WWFF and LHFA programs. My callsigns are: LY2BIS/p, DL/OK/SM/SP/YL/LY2BIS/p. There are a total of 148 parks and 227 HILL FORT.
