Biography

2018.11.23 - "A" level radio amateur license (without any restrictions)

Vilnius University radio club LY1BWB member.

Lithuanian amateur radio society member

IARU Championship 2019 national team of Lithuania LY0HQ member

I was interested in amateur radio when I was 12 years old. I was working in local contests but it didn't took so long.

In 2018 summer my good friend Andrius LY1AKM reminded me about this hobby. I met Andrius in one event, he was also taking photos. I saw he has a handheld radio and I asked him why does he need it (because I was interested in that long time ago). He told me that he found organizers frequency. It made me very interested. The next day I bought baofeng UV5R. That is how it all started.

After about one week I tried to use one of a local 2 meters repeater and I asked if anyone can hear me. And yes! Andrej LY5AG answered. He told me more about the ham radio, local repeaters and how to get radio amateur license. He told me many things. After about one or two weeks I came to Vilnius University amateur radio club LY1BWB.

2018-11-23 I got my B and A class license and received callsign LY1LB. That is my story.

Now I'm a student in 12th grade also interested in photography, I'm taking photos almost 5 years till now.

You can find me on Facebook!
