Biography

Full-time RVing throughout the Southwest United States. We boondock in our travel trailer in the middle of nowhere, so I'm always running portable in the field.

Equipment

My rig is a modern take on the WW2 OSS CW suitcase radio, based on the PFR-3 CW transceiver. I usually run it with 5W output into a 40W output HF Packer linear amplifier. The antenna is a modified JPC-12 HF portable all-band vertical antenna with a slide coil and 16 radials.
