Biography

Been a ham since 1979 with first call being N0AWI in North Dakota then moved to Texas with call of KC5HO & finally KX5U. Did run /IT9 in Sicily, VP9 in Bermuda and had 9h3FZ in Malta for a weekend. Sometimes run qrp, especially outdoors. I do have qrp DXCC along with a couple of WAS awards. My son Nick is also a ham with a tech call of KM4JXO, but did change it to my old tech call of N0AWI.
I do tend to run FT8/JT65 mostly but do get on CW & SSB at times. Enjoy working the WARC bands along with 6.

Equipment

Yaesu FT-817, Heathkit HW-9, AEA DX Handy, MFJ-9200, FX-9A, & Yaesu FT-450D.
Alpha portable vert along with a homebrew dipole.
