Biography

First ham license: WD8JFC novice, granted in 1978, upgraded to Advanced class in 1980 and Extra in 1981, when I received KT8K.
Now (March 2013) operating from a small city lot on a hilltop.

Please check out my ham radio music video, shot in my shack, called "I Want a Big Tower", at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNWZjzrzgwA&list=UUQfgI_rRySnBLgLlm2scwAA

Hope to catch you on the air, preferably in one of the big contests.
Good reception to you and 73/72 de kt8k -- Tim

Equipment

I operate 99.9% QRP running a Tentec Orion at 5 Watts.
Antennas include a 20/40/80m inverted vee (3 dipoles on spacers with a common feed) with apex at 50 feet, the driven element from a Cushcraft A3 tribander pulled vertically into a tree with feed point at about 55 feet, and a >500 foot horizontal loop (more of a rhomboid, actually) with parts of it at 15 feet and parts at 60 feet, fed with TV twin lead (300 Ohm) from a small autotuner. For listening I have a K9AY loop frequently "disassembled" by local deer.
