I was born and raised in west Phoenix, (Maryvale) Arizona. I served 11 years and 11 months in the US Army. Trained as: Antenna Specialist, Helicopter Crew Chief / DoorGunner. I served air-combat for two years in VietNam with the 334th Armed Attack Helicopter Company in Bein Hoa for a year from August 1966 to 1967. My second tour was with the 11th Air/Cav Regiment (Black Horse) at Dion, VietNam from Sept. 1970 to 1971. The rest of the time I was in MARS RADIO. I was assigned to many MARS radio stations.

Watch it live every Wednesday night at 6:pm Pacific time here at this website: http://twit.tv/hn and also on YouTube after a couple of days. This great video Ham Radio TV show is hosted by Bob Heil (K9EID), with Gordon West (WB6NOA) and George Thomas (W5JDX). What a'bunch of great guys!!!

Look for the book at your local H.R.O. (Ham Radio Outlet) dealer or on Ebay worldwide or Email me direct.

Thats it! I do answer all QSL's I receive.

A group of my army buddies and I started working with, re-designing, and building J-poles while serving at the Army Mars Radio station KR6USA / AB6USA in Okinawa Japan back in 1971 to 1972. I have enjoyed J-poles ever since.

The below pictures (on QRZ @ KR7KZ) is my 2/440 mobile J-pole. This J-pole is a 3/16th Stainless steel 2/440 dualbandmobile antennafed by inductive coil tuning. The base plate is anodized black. You will notice in my diagram item 'B'. For 2 meters only, use 43/4". For 2/440 use item 'B' as 3 3/4". See drawing below.

. Feel free to copy, print, re-print, build your own, (but not for your own business for profit with out contacting me).
