Biography

Hello and welcome to my page.

A Technician Class license was granted on 07-11-2025. Received my General Class license effective on 11-19-2025.

I have an IC-7300. On 06/12/2026 I strung up a 100 foot doublet antenna (courtesy Chris W2JBL) about 15 to 20 feet above ground. It is fed with 450-ohm window-line and I am using an MFJ-974H manual transmatch. I also live in an HOA comunity.

I owe a lot to a high school friend, Chris when he reconnected with me after many years and encouraging me to enter this hobby as he himself did many years ago. His father was also an amateur radio operator (Robert Jackson, W2GOW, SK)

I have been an SWL on and off since my high school electronics class during the early 70s. (WA4282SWL issued 12-FEB-2016)
