Biography
KO9C here!
I have not actively operated since 1997, for in 1997 my wife and I relocated to an antenna-restricted neighborhood. In the meantime, however, I've tried to stay connected to the ham radio world through publications, hamfest and online information. I'm hopeful that I will actively operate again - probably via indoor antennas and whatever other means I can find to get my signal on the air.
My interest in ham radio and electronics began as a teenager in the mid-1970s. Initially licensed under the call-sign KA9EVV, I was extremely active on 10-40 meters SSB, CW and SSTV. 10-15-20-40m CW and SSB were my favorite stomping grounds.
Spent most of my working life in technology and business management. My career began in the early 1980s in electronics; and after several years I moved to manufacturing engineering, then into design engineering finance, sales - and currently a new product development program specialist for drive and propulsion systems. My career has been fascinating and has allowed me to travel the globe to many fascinating and interesting places.
I'm married with three grown kids that have been out of the nest for several years now. I stay engaged in many hobbies and interests that range from lawn & garden to hot rods. I'm a foodie through and through! I have a huge appreciation for healthy eating, fiery foods, BBQ, dark chocolate, ethnic cuisine & wine. I feel very blessed to have experienced throughout my life such an abundance of hobbies, interests, places, and personal relationships!
