| Biography Hello to all and thank you for stopping by. My first name is Harvey but I've always gone by my middle name, Wayne. I grew up listening to amateur radio but somehow life got in the way of becoming licensed. It only took 66 years to get there as I'm a short-timer, having only been a ham since March of 2021 when I passed the Technician test. It took me a year to figure out I wanted more and finally upgraded to Amateur Extra. Worked DXCCs: Equipment My HF setup is an Icom 7610 running barefoot out to a Buckmaster OCF Dipole approximately 25' high. Backup is an Icom 7300. Mostly running SSB voice but branching out running FT8 via WSJTX and experimenting with Winlink email and data modes. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
