Biography

First licensed in 1970 with Novice tag WN6BOC. Expired after 2 years with no airtime experience. 42 years later (2012) I kept the promise I made to myself and took the Technician test and aced it. One week later I took the General test and aced that too. I must be good at taking tests! I was going to go for the Extra, but who wants to talk with an Extra that has had no on the air experience? So I'll do the Extra thing soon.

I'm currently serving my second term as Treasurer of The Amateur Radio Club of El Cajon (ARCEC) and enjoying my membership. I also am a member of the VHF Breakfast Club that meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00am at the Spice House Restaurant on Clairemont Mesa Blvd in San Diego. The restaurant is conveniently located around the corner from the Ham Radio Outlet.

I enjoy doing Digital communications, mostly PSK31 and JT-65.
